Your bill never leaves your device. We have no accounts, no ads and no trackers.
Checking a bill
When you choose a photo of a bill, the text is read by a program (Tesseract OCR) that runs inside your own browser. The image and the text are not uploaded anywhere. The page downloads the hospital's price list from this site and does the comparison on your device. The lines you edit are kept in your browser's session storage only so they survive a page reload or a payment redirect; they are deleted when you close the tab or press Clear.
What our servers see
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages (Cloudflare) sees your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type, and keeps short-lived logs. We do not add analytics scripts, cookies or third-party trackers. Search terms you type stay in your browser.
Payments
If a paid report is offered and you buy it, the payment is handled by Stripe on its own checkout page. We receive a confirmation that the payment went through. We never see your card number, and your bill is not sent to Stripe or to us.
If you email us, we use your message only to answer it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its date.
